By now, you've probably read the Payment and Shipping Information Pages, and so you have a pretty good grasp on what shopping
at Moiselle's is about. Here are some other ad hoc policies you may
need to be aware of sometime down the road. As always, if you would
like clarification of any of these policies, feel free to email me.
Refunds
If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please contact me within 3 days of receipt
for a refund. Item must be returned in original condition within 7 days of receipt.
We do not refund original or return shipping costs. Please remember that some items are vintage and/or used. Some new items are intentionally distressed and imperfections are part of the item's originality.
Quantity Always Equals 1
If you would like to make a special jewelry order - for example, a grouping for a wedding party - feel free to email me for an estimate. However, the items
presented on the site are in quantity of 1 only. If you find you've accidentally clicked an item more than once,
just change the quantity in your cart before you go to checkout.
Shipping Costs
Moiselle's shipping costs are well thought out and I believe them to be very
fair. The shopping cart
through PayPal required that we charge flat shipping rates based on the value of the item. Since postage mainly depends on
weight, not value, this posed a problem, especially for small jewelry items.
Taking into consideration insurance fees (which do rise with the item's
value), I have set a fair flat rate. With jewelry orders,
you may receive a refund of shipping. For a breakdown of shipping costs charged via the
shopping cart, please see my Shipping
link.
PayPal Orders Shipped to Unconfirmed Addresses
I would prefer that all of my customers have Confirmed addresses with
PayPal, but I understand that many people have Unconfirmed
addresses with PayPal and have had very successful online
transactions. However, I
reserve the right to cancel an order if the ship-to name differs from
the PayPal account name, and the address is not confirmed. I'm sure
if this applies to you, there is a perfectly good explanation, and it
could be cleared up with a phone call or
email.
Orders from Nigeria
Recently, I have received many bogus emails from people pretending to be shop
owners in Nigeria who want to place orders in the thousands of dollars for multiple quantities
of jewelry. The problem with this is two-fold: a) I don't do wholesale b) I don't fall for the Nigerian scam. If you
are a shop-owner reading this, beware of this new version of the Nigerian scam.
Someone usually claiming to be from Nigeria (but sometimes
from elsewhere overseas) makes a very large or very expensive order, to pay by credit card (stolen) or by cashier's check (forged). If
the "customer" pays by cashier's check, it's usually for several thousand dollars over and above the amount, and you
are asked to return a portion of the difference in cash (with a tidy little profit for your trouble, of course). The
scammer gets your goods as well as a little cash, and you get zip. By accepting PayPal only for credit cards, I have managed
to avoid this problem.
I don't ship to Nigeria or other parts of the world that are embroiled in internet fraud. It's my right.
That's about it! If I haven't addressed your
question here, please email
me.
